APC Historical Awards are honorary titles granted by the American Pomeranian Club to recognize notable achievements by Pomeranians. These titles may be used as suffixes to a dog’s registered name but are not permitted for use when entering official AKC events. Ownership by an APC member is not required for a dog to be eligible.

If you believe your dog qualifies for a Historical Award, we encourage you to apply. Before doing so, please visit the APC website to verify whether your dog is already listed as an award recipient. If your dog is not listed, please refrain from advertising the award (e.g., in magazines, pedigrees, etc.). All inquiries should be directed to Carol Leemhuis, APC Historical Awards Registrar.

Eligible offspring titles for ROM, ROMX, and ROMS may be earned in various disciplines, including conformation (CH), obedience (CD), tracking (TD or VST), agility (NA, NAP, NAJ, or NJP), and rally (RA). Only the first title level achieved in each non-conformation category is counted toward the award. A qualifying offspring is only counted once toward a parent’s ROM title, regardless of how many titles the offspring earns. Please note that only AKC titles are considered.
